Parent Organization: York-University
Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is one of the largest children rehabilitation hospitals in Canada. This Organization helps and supports children with disability by providing them specialized programs, clinical care, and complex care needs to enable them to participate in life to the fullest. This organization serves about 7000 children each year,600 inpatient admissions and 5800 outpatient visits.
We, as the students of York University, want to register a club named "Holland Bloorview at York". Our Charity organization is devoted to not only raise money for the children with disability, but to have more students involved in this institution as volunteers. HBY is a club that brings the students together from all backgrounds and cultures to support disabled children.
HBY would get members to help out to run the fund raising events and be part of the organization. Throughout different events we want to introduce the Bloorview Hospital to the students and present all the different volunteer opportunities that they can attain. Even though Bloorview is one of the largest kids hospital in Canada, many people are not familiar with all the services that this institution offers to the day patients, inpatients, and outpatients. We as an organization try to provide students with information about all the volunteer opportunities at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation hospital and show the students that they can gain enormously useful experiences throughout various opportunities.
